Dear JOAD Parents,
Starting on January 1st, Nico made a change to the way he collects fees for the range from all users. In the past the JOAD Club would primarily collect fees from the parents and Woody would make payments to Nico for our range usage. Starting immediately, as your current JOAD Shooting Passes are used up you will begin to pay Nico directly for range use fees and pay Woody for JOAD costs separately.
JOAD Shooting passes will now be $60 for 5 visits.
- Saturday JOAD events will result in 1 visit being checked off the pass.
- Wednesday JOAD events will result in 2 visits being checked off the pass.
To cover your range costs, we have a couple options for you to select from:
Option 1: You will pay an auto-renewing $55 monthly membership fee to Nico through the ohlonearchery.com website. This fee will deduct automatically from your chosen source every month to cover your child’s range time at Ohlone Archery. You will receive unlimited range time at Ohlone Archery to cover Saturday and Wednesday JOAD events, plus any other time you schedule to have Woody coach your child. If you child receives clearance from Woody and Nico to shoot without Woody’s direct supervision, solo trips to the range will also be covered.
Best of all, you will also receive a GUARANTEED spot on Saturday mornings. No more going online every week to reserve your spot before they are all gone – this ensures your child will always have a place. (Cancellation policy will apply – no show or late cancel will result in a visit being marked on the JOAD shooting pass.)
Option 2: You will continue to make week-to-week reservations online as done today. Beginning on 2-1-19, when you reserve your spot you will be prompted to make a non-refundable payment of $15 to cover your range fee. The range can no longer afford to lose lane reservation revenue for last minute cancels or no-shows.
Be aware that the amount of people who sign up for Option 1 will determine how many slots are available for Option 2’s single day sign-ups.
These changes will help to ensure that Ohlone Archery and the JOAD Club can continue to serve our community. We hope you can understand the need for these changes and as always, Nico and Woody are happy to discuss and answer questions.
