What’s Been Going on in July

This month we had a lot of fun trying new challenges.

A favorite was shooting plastic cups off the top of the bales with rubber pointed arrows. It was pretty difficult because we made everyone shoot with a 16 lb Sammick bow to reduce the speed of the arrows.  Then we spaced them at different distances (10 yards, 12.5 yards, 15 yards.)

Our champion this day was Clement who knocked down 5 of 6 cups with 6 arrows!  The featured image shows Clement and Tanisha shooting in the final round of competition.

They both had nerves of steel here.  Competing in new challenges each week in addition to the scoring rounds is getting everyone used to the idea of competition and pressure to perform.
